The concept is to use design to enhance the quality of contemporary workplaces linked to the web economy. Holyart is an e-commerce company based in Reggio Emilia (ITA) with a wide range of online commercial activities for ecclesiastical products worldwide. This revolutionary new business phenomenon uses state-of-the-art working methods and logistics similar to Amazon. The project concerns the company's new HQ on the A1 Milan-Naples motorway, at km 144 between Modena and Reggio Emilia. The new headquarters is located opposite the new Silk-Faw production centre for electric sports cars, increasing the urban interest of this section of motorway. The design of the spaces is structured in such a way as to stimulate work and at the same time encourage informal interaction.
Born from the skeleton of an unfinished warehouse, the logistics depot of the most important sacred art company, located in Reggio Emilia on the Al motorway, is the perfect example of eco-sustainable redevelopment.
The building, which has an attractive and visually striking appearance, is equipped with an NFPA-compliant sprinkler system, LED lighting, a BMS system, a heat pump air conditioning system and electric car charging stations. The energy produced by the photovoltaic panels on the roof of the warehouse, approximately 180 KWh, powers a large part of the distribution centre.
The design was created using BIM technology and the building was constructed according to the principle of sustainability, obtaining BREEAM certification with an EXCELLENT rating. The work took place from January to October 2022 on an area of 8,000 m² of warehouse space and 2,000 m² of office space.
